While freezing the fresh fish will considerably impact its texture, you should opt for flash freezing which allows the fish to retain texture, quality, and taste after it's been defrosted and thawed. 

How to Prepare Sushi Rice at Home

  • 2 cups short-grain sushi rice
  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rice

Use short-grain sushi rice. This type of rice has a higher starch content, which gives it a sticky texture that is perfect for sushi.
